Often when I introduce people to "The SoulShine Society" the first question is "Why the name?" So, let's unpack.
Soul
One's soul is the immaterial part of a person that transcends all. It speaks your truest desires, creates your wildest dreams, and bears our deepest scars. It moves throughout the world in a manner one's physical body can not even fathom. The soul views, perceives, and interacts with the world in a way that is simply transcendent.

Shine
When something shines, it releases a light that illuminates the space around it. Whether the sun, a flame, or even a flashlight, when a light is able to shine it expels darkness and breathes new life.

Society
Our society is an aggregate of creatives who join together to see, explore, deconstruct, make, and just do whatever cool thing our minds come up with because that is what being a creative is all about. You don't have to be deemed a "professional" to be a creative. A creative, has the desire to create and does so unabashedly. It is as simple as that.
So this collective is here to be a beacon of light to everyone who wishes to transcend the monotony of every day life as they allow their inner creative light to illuminate the world and serve as a beacon to others to do as The Magic School Bus's Ms. Frizzle says...
So, welcome to The SoulShine Society, a community of creatives who are brave enough to let their souls shine as we gather, learn from each other, and try new things.
